About the Hall
Smith Valley Hall is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and providing a clean and safe location for our community to host events that bring everyone together for the enrichment of our valley.

Our history
Smith Valley Hall has stood at the heart of the Smith Valley community since 1928. It was built across the road from Smith Valley’s first high school by the Smith Valley Improvement Club, which paid for it by selling stock shares to local residents.
From its earliest days the Hall served the school and the community alike. High school basketball games, school programs and community events all found a home within its walls. Generations of residents have made memories here at Fish Dances, Duck Dances, Beta Sigma Phi Mardi Gras costume dances, school plays, amateur talent nights, tea parties, wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations, church gatherings, community dinners, auctions and countless other special occasions.
